About Our Topic: The Elections Are Finally Over! Now What?
The political ads have stopped, but maybe the bickering hasn’t. As we prepare for our November meeting, we could be asking “now what” because the election outcomes are muddied and the courts are involved. Or maybe the outcomes are clear, and we can start to predict some of what might happen under a new governor, a possible shift in legislative majorities, and a definite narrowing of the majority in each chamber – state and national. And what about our regulatory agencies? Where will they be heading under new leadership? We may not find calm waters, but can we at least get a sense of which way the wind will blow? That’s what this program is all about. The what, the how, the why and the “now what” of the November elections.
About Our Speaker: Jeffrey J Beiriger, Association/Management Services, Inc.
Jeff is an association manager and lobbyist that works with AMP, PHCC Wisconsin, and a number of other construction-related associations in Wisconsin and Minnesota. He’s a historian at heart that doesn’t think all that much is as “unprecedented” as we might think. As a lobbyist, the job is to educate before advocate, so the focus is on finding ways to make complex issues relatable (and never boring).
AMP meetings are open to ALL of your company employees. The first two attendees are included with your membership. A small fee applies for additional attendees. All programs receive a minimum of one hour of CE credit.
