About Our Topic: What’s Up with Water Heaters?
Will they, or won’t they? What’s happening with regulations affecting commercial water heaters? And even if the regulations are unchanged, where are manufacturers in the process of getting ready for the changes that had been previously announced? They’ve invested millions already. Will they reverse course, or move forward, even without new regulations?
What about some of the water heaters available today? Will they still be available? Will they be on allotment? Can contractors and wholesalers use their existing stock of “old style, non-compliant” heaters?
And, we’ll also talk about the upcoming change for NAECA 4, scheduled to go into effect in May 2029. We’ll consider how this change will accelerate the movement toward heat pump water heaters, changes to gas and electric resistance units, and the development of new technologies.
About Our Speaker
Our speaker is Peter Bibby, an Outside Sales Consultant with Soderholm & Associates. Peter has been involved with AO Smith water heaters since April 1989. Mostly, he’s spent his career in Wisconsin, and he’s a self-described Badger (he’s a graduate of UW Madison), Brewers (he lives in the Milwaukee area), and Packers fan (who wouldn’t be).
